Spatial Ensemble Technology — and a set is also what you build when you design a show. The overlap is intentional.

No. You place performers, decide formations, and shape pathways. Formation tools only space the performers you choose along a line, arc, circle, block, or wedge you draw. SET assists movement; it does not generate design.

2D design with hand-drawn pathways on iPad, formation tools, group moves, Follow-the-Leader, sets, counts and music timing, equipment, floor artwork, props, Theater, Dance / Drill, and ROTC / Military Drill modes, saving and opening projects, and 3D with performers who walk the show carrying their flags, from several camera views. Costume Studio and Flag Studio are in development. Anything labelled planned or in development is not part of SET today.

No. Winter Guard is where SET is deepest, and SET also has Theater, Dance / Drill, and ROTC / Military Drill modes, on stages, gyms, football fields, and custom areas you size yourself.

Yes. Projects save as portable .set files you keep on your own machine and can reopen any time.

SET is focused on performance spaces where designers need flexible spatial tools: Winter Guard first, then Theater, Dance / Drill, and ROTC / Military Drill. Football-field surfaces are already there for field-based groups and smaller marching ensembles; deeper field functionality is planned.

Yes. You can bring in your own floor artwork, and place props that you resize and rotate. Theater mode adds a scenic library — wall panels, doorways, windows, steps, platforms, and furniture. Guard panels and panels on wheels that travel with the show are still planned, and labelled that way.

You assign equipment to individual performers and change that assignment from set to set. SET reflects those equipment changes during playback, so you can track what each performer is using throughout the show.

Yes. You import the show's audio, set where the first count falls, and mark beats and counts so the design lines up with the track the ensemble will perform to.

Yes. On iPad you can draw movement pathways directly onto the floor using touch or Apple Pencil, and shape curved pathways rather than being limited to a straight line between two points. This is core to how SET works rather than a feature of one environment. You are drawing the path yourself — SET does not generate it, straighten it, or decide where it should go.

Yes. SET runs in the browser. Shows save out as portable .set files you keep, and SET recovers your work in progress in the browser you were using.

That is a large part of why it exists. Being able to show a transition in three dimensions — and from the perspective the audience or the judges actually have — changes how a design gets explained to an ensemble.
